Positive discipline in everyday teaching - Guidelines for education

This manual sets out the foundations and principles of positive discipline in the classroom. Positive discipline is about understanding how students learn, building their skills and fostering the self-discipline they need in order to be successful learners. To practice these skills, exercises are provided to help teachers put these principles into practice across a wide range of situations. Ultimately the use of positive discipline reduces the time teachers spend on behavioural issues, so they can spend more time on teaching. This manual is aimed at teachers of students at all levels, as well as principals, school managers, student teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals involved in the education system.
