ACE Toolkit: Refugee and Displaced Children. Tool 15

Tool 15 of The Child Care Toolkit for Emergency and Post Emergency Response (ACE Toolkit) serves as guidance for placing refugee or displaced children. Under the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, a refugee is someone who is outside his or her country of origin and has a “well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion”. Tool 15 - Refugee and Displaced Children - is part of the tools and guidance designed to facilitate the process of planning for and implementing interim care and related services for children separated from or unable to live with their families during an emergency.The Toolkit includes the following 3 resources:Summary Guidance, Extended Guidance, and a range of tools to assist in the implementation of quality care.
