A child friendly version, in Spanish, of the Global Survey on Violence against Children, specially prepared for children and adolescents. Ms Marta Santos Pais, Special Representative on Violence against Children, is conducting the global survey to help map and assess progress in the implementation of the UN Study recommendations, and set future priorities. The survey outcomes will be presented to the General Assembly in 2012 and are expected to inform further acceleration of efforts in the implementation of the recommendations of the Study, and sustain the momentum of work already underway. To ensure that children also have a say, this child-friendly version of the survey - written for children and young people aged 11 to 17- was developed in partnership with the Office of the Secretary-General Special Representative (SGSR)) on Violence against Children. The document presents the key recommendations from the UN Study and a glossary of relevant terms containing basic definitions.
