This report provides supplementary information on Colombia’s third periodic report on the implementation of the UNCRC. Submitted by Coalición contra la vinculación de niños, niñas y jóvenes al conflicto armado en Colombia, et al, it analyses the problems that children face: abuses of their social, economic and cultural rights, serious human rights violations and abuses of international humanitarian law related to the armed conflict. It draws attention to cases of torture, killings, maltreatment and other abuses committed by non-state armed actors and the government. It gives a general view on the need of a coherent and coordinated effort by state institutions to comply with the recommendations of the Committee.
