The Ethiopia Country Program of Save the Children Sweden is part of the Eastern and Central Africa (ECAf) regional program. SCS has been working in Ethiopia since 1965, and focuses on building the capacity of local people, community based structures and organisations. In ECAF it works with more than forty different non-governmental and governmental bodies. The main focus of Save the Children Sweden's work in Ethiopia is on: 1.Child Protection; 2.Education; and 3.Child rights programming.
The general objective of the assessment is to study the effects of the new Charities and Societies Proclamation on the child-focused intervention programmes of SCS and its partner organisations, and measure the programme success and impact on the lives of children.
